BIS Certification

We are pleased to announce a key regulatory update regarding the distribution of genuine Zippo products in India. Under applicable regulations, all lighters must now comply with the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) marking requirements. As of January 23, 2025, Zippo Manufacturing Company (ZMC) has obtained BIS certification for its products. Accordingly, effective immediately, all Zippo lighters sold in India must bear the BIS mark to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Authorized distribution channels
To ensure the availability of BIS-compliant Zippo products in India, ZMC supplies its products exclusively through its subsidiary, Zippo Lighters India Private Limited (ZLI). ZLI, in turn, supplies its only authorized Indian distributor, Route to Market. Customers should purchase genuine Zippo products only through these authorized channels to ensure compliance and authenticity.
Ensuring authenticity
We strongly advise customers to verify that any Zippo products purchased in India bear the BIS mark, as required under Indian law. Products acquired from unauthorized sources may not meet regulatory standards and may not be covered under Zippo’s quality assurance policies and/or warranties.

Properly completed orders will be shipped according to the service guidelines listed below. we offer shipping across India with a 48-hour processing time and delivered within 3-7 working days. Orders are processed on business days, excluding Sundays and national holidays. Free shipping is available on qualifying orders, communicated at checkout., Zippo reserves the right to hold any order for suspected fraud. Orders that cannot be properly completed will be cancelled and the customer will be notified via email.
COD (Cash on Delivery)
COD (Cash on Delivery) is now available on our website with a fixed fee of Rs 100. Please note that these charges are non-refundable in the event of returns.
Multiple Addresses
Unfortunately we are unable to split ship orders to different addresses. We are happy to ship your order where you need it to go, but you will need to place a separate order for each address that you need items shipped to. Shipping and handling rates, as well as applicable sales taxes, apply for each delivery address.
Shipping Restrictions
Due to carrier shipping regulations, Zippo windproof lighters are shipped without lighter fluid. To use your Zippo lighter, fill with Zippo premium lighter fluid.
There are several products like: fuel, lighter fluid, and Classic and Slim lighter gift sets that must ship standard ground due to carrier restrictions. If you order other products within an order that includes one of these products, expedited shipping is not a valid option for shipping.
Shipping Times
After Order confirmation, your order will be shipped based on the content of your order as listed below.
Standard Shipping:
- Ships in 1-2 business days for stock merchandise
- Delivery in 4-5 business days
- Standard shipping orders ship via ground delivery.

Returns

If you feel the need to return an item you have purchased on this website based on the guidelines below, we will gladly process your return within 7 days from the order ship date.
Merchandise damaged by abuse, misuse, normal wear and tear, or lack of reasonable care is not covered by the manufacturer's warranty and cannot be returned at any time after purchase.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging.
Issues with defective, incorrect, or damaged products must be reported within 24 hours of delivery.
You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. If the products are returned in poor condition a refund would not be provided.
A reverse shipment fee of Rs 100 will be deducted at the time of refund per order, regardless of the number of items within that order. Items purchased during special sales with free product offers, like Buy One Get One, are ineligible for returns.
We does not accept returns for merchandise purchased through retail locations or another vendors
Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately with an unboxing video proof and screenshot. if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
Exchange/replacement
Once we accept the exchange we will process and deliver that product within 5 to 6 working days
Exceptions / non-returnable items
Accessories like Lighter Fluid, Wicks, and other consumables are non-returnable.
Refunds will include the product cost and sales tax amount. Shipping charges are generally non-refundable, except in cases of incorrect items or damaged products.
Once the refund is approved , it will be processed and credited within 10 working days to customers account
